QID:NA251 - kon310 - 02-05-2009 The question is: "What statements are true regarding ICMP packets?" Choose two. I chose: They are encapsulated in UDP datagrams. & They can provide hosts with info about network problems. The correct answers say: They are encapsulated in IP datagrams. & They can provide hosts with info about network problems. So obviously i got 1 right but the other is confusing because IP packets are not datagrams, and i would have chosen that option however it said datagrams. Also I believe ICMP packets are encapsulated in UDP datagrams anyways. So to me there are 3 possible answers here if the word datagrams was switched with packets in the IP option. Can anyone care to share their thoughts?
