Global Knowledge Boot Camp - How2Pass practice Exams - CCNA Exam - sjones - 02-21-2009 Hi. I'm kind of new here at how2pass, so please forgive me if I ask a stupid question here or there. I recently went thru the CCNA 5 day boot camp that global knowledge puts on in Dallas, TX. The boot camp was great. I really feel like I learned a lot about Cisco. However, when I got back home and signed up for how2pass, I started taking the tests and realized that I didn't know nearly as much as I thought I did... ![]() I'm ready to have my CCNA cert! Re: Global Knowledge Boot Camp - How2Pass practice Exams - CCNA Exam - directly_connected - 08-30-2009 Global Knowledge is a very good institution, but IMHO, any boot camp is not a good way to go, unless you have a lot of experience with Cisco. You should enroll in Cisco Academy, or if you insist on self-study, then get some books and real equipment. A cert will get you in the door, but I guarantee you will bomb the tech interviews. You NEED to know this stuff, and be good at it! I knew nothing about cisco going in. I am an MS network admin but started cold with cisco. I agree with the previous reply and that these practice tests from how2pass are really good and the sims are excellent. I also agree that the CCNA is very hard cert to get, but it is still just a intro course or a little extra to get you in the door. I dont know how long it would have taken me to get my CCNA if I had not taken the boot camp. It was the right thing for me to do. EVERYONE that hopes to do cisco work must get their own rack. I spent about $200 on ebay for 2 routers and 3 switches plus another $75 for DCE/DTE, crossovers and console cables and 2 transceivers. Also I believe that anyone wanting to make cisco a career should at least have a CCNP. Cricket |
