Router stuck in rommon

Hi. recently my router was (and still is) stuck in rommon. When it starts it gave out this message
flash: Compact flash not present

I thought i could install a new flash but there is not enough memory.
I am not sure what to do.

Any help, suggestions and guidance is most welcomed.

Depending on the router model, you can Google for the answer to try and first change the config-register on try to get out.  Is the Flash corrupted?
