I wonder if the answer is incorrect here?

"router ospf 1
network 10.0.0.0 0.255.255.255 area 0
network 172.16.0.0 0.15.255.255 area 0
passive-interface Gi0/2"

Seems to be correct for me because it includes all networks  and excludes Gi0/2 from exchanging OSPF information?

I think I understand it now. The question says "any new interfaces".
So passive interface just on Gi0/2 won't be sufficient.
