Passed the ICND2 this week--after failing last week.
Posted by: Khalikyar - 01-27-2011, 04:26 PM - Forum: Exam Experience - Replies (3)

I made 811--needed 825 to pass.  I had 40 questions.  The simulation threw me off--so I just decided to skip it.
I had to completely configure a new switch that was being added to a hospital network.  I needed to apply an ip address and gateway, vlan, add vtp, put into client mode.  I had to make the management domain the same as the other switch.  No info was  provided other than this.
Did not get access to router.  All info would have to be obtained from show commands from the configured switch.  After the test, I realized what I should have done--but too late!
The rest of the test was very close to the questions on how2pass.  One other question I remember was----to provide the subnet mask for 316 hosts.
I had a couple of drop and drags that had been on the CCENT/ICND1 about passwords.  I will be taking the exam again on Monday.  Wish me luck!

Update.  I took the ICND2 test today!  Passed --919 out of 1000!  Only had 40 questions again.  How2Pass really did help!

Now moving on to the CCNP!

I hope I am not violating the posting rules by re-posting the question in the forum...

I'm not certain on the answer for this question. The correct answer shows that the router will prefer the next hop of
172.26.1.1 for packets destined to 192.168.1.0 network. Is this simply because of the lower router-id for the eBGP peers?
Or is there some sort of typo here where acl 65 should really be acl 20...? ? ?  I am assuming a default local-pref of 100 for
each peer..

router bgp 65001
  neighbor 172.16.1.1 remote-as 65001
  neighbor 172.26.1.1 remote-as 65555
  neighbor 172.26.1.1 route-map local_pref in
  neighbor 172.30.1.1 remote-as 65510
!
route-map local-pref permit 10
  match ip address 20
  set local-preference 200
!
access-list 65 permit 192.168.1.0 0.0.0.255

  access-list help
Posted by: roonie - 01-23-2011, 09:47 PM - Forum: Answer this question - Replies (1)

hi,

i am trying to apply an access list to deny tftp traffic to a tftp server and permit only a couple of interfaces access. but this is not working for the router i am appying it to?

the tftp server is at ip address 10.0.0.30 and i have another network which is on a 210.10.10.0 network, i have applied the following access list:

access-list 102 permit udp host 210.10.10.50 host 10.0.0.30 eq tftp
access-list 102 permit udp host 210.10.10.57 host 10.0.0.30 eq tftp
access-list 102 deny udp any host 10.0.0.30 eq tftp
access-list 102 permit ip any any

i am applying this to the outbound interface of the router which is closest to the server this interface has an ip address of 10.0.0.1

can anyone help?

Is it possible to pass the actual test by getting 90+ consistently on here?  And using this as your only study material?

Passed my CCNA thanks to H2P
Posted by: gregwhiteuk - 12-18-2010, 03:05 PM - Forum: Exam Experience - No Replies

I passed my CCNA exam yesterday Friday 17th December 2010 with 974/1000, not bad.
Could not have done it without how2pass, I got sims in EIGRP, ACL and VLAN which I nailed.
The explanation with H2P questions really helped me to understand the subject matter better especially after reading the relevant topics in the official text book.

Thanks again to H2P for your help well recommended.
