hi, whats with Q NF57, answers keep changing...
TCP is used for reliability is fine
but
if I select "BGP will never send a message unless it is triggered" then its marked incorrect.
answer given is BGP is a path vector protocol
Now if I select BGP is a path vector protocol then its marked incorrect.
then given answer is "BGP will never send a message unless it is triggered"
Ive never heard of a path vector protocol ;D
Admins - whats up with the exam?

Passed today with a 905! Thanks H2P, invaluable material on here! Going to Vegas to celebrate for a few days then study for BCMSN which I should be taking in a couple of weeks. On to the exam:
Time was more of a factor than I had anticipated; 9 minutes left at the end. I did not see as much IPv6 and BGP as I was thinking. Quite a few multicast and very heavy on EIGRP. Sims were all from H2P: OSPFv3 virtual link, EIGRP stub and summarization. EIGRP testlet was almost identical. I didnt see many questions that were not covered here. Had one question that looked like it should have been from the ISCW test; some IPSEC tunnel thing. Anyway, know your stuff, get the sims down, do plenty of practice on H2P and you should do fine. I was suprised at my 905, didnt think I would do that well. Anyway, off to fabulous Las Vegas!!! See you on the BCMSN board!

Hello!
I am a little bit familiar with some networking concepts and want to start my journey to CCNA certification. If you have taken this test recently, please suggest what study materials to use. Also there are some website offering test prep packages including test engines. Which one would you recommend? How would you rate ITExamWorld.com test prep? Appreciate any suggestions. Thanks for your help.

Ok so I how2pass was very helpfull and I thought I passed before getting my 720 :-\.
The NAT question came up and I responded word for word but I don't think it was good enough. They gave me the same question but the ip addresses were different, I read the rules and didn't see that posting the addresses cant be posted but if Im wrong please feel free to edit or delete my post. I am mod on another forum and understand.
So the Private were 192.168.123.65-194
The Public was 198.18.47.161-166
I wasn't given anything but the name of the router which was Munford.
So...
access list 2 permit 192.168.123.64 0.0.0.30
ip nat pool list 2 198.18.47.161 198.18.123.166 netmask 255.255.255.248
ip nat inside source list 2 pool munford overload
the inside and outside interfaces were done already so I just saved my info with the copy run start.
Now my question is do I use munford? should I have used "cisco"? The other NAT deals Ive seen had the inside pool as the public addresses and the outside as the 192....
The reason I asked was the message of: Implement, verify and troubleshoot NAT and ACL in a medium sized Enterprise branch office, which I would think was the NAT sim.
Im sure I turned and the interfaces and saved my config if asked.
The only question I did not know (in my mind) was a question about Rapid PVST, Im not even sure I have heard of that one but I think I can find it using a search engine.
Thanks in advance.

Hi guys,
Is it necessary to learn dhcp configuration for simulation type of questions.??
And configuring router using SDM ?? someone told me that "configure it using SDM" type of questions do not come in CCNA exams.

NAT LAB #7 |

How2Pass Network is going to provide Internet access to all hosts in its LAN without changing the IP addresses configured on its internal hosts and servers. The company has 14 hosts that need access to the Internet simultaneously. The hosts have been assigned private addresses space in the range of 192.168.58.17 ? 192.168.58.30.
My question is - if the address range is indeed supposed to be 192.168.58.17 - 192.168.58.30, then why is the command in the NAT SIM LAB:
access-list 2 permit 192.168.58.16 0.0.0.15
I would think it would instead be 192.168.58.17?
