Hi guys,
I paid for the CCNA how2pass, however the more I take these exam topics, the ore I seem to fall behind with my 60 day window approaching the deadline. Have any of you signed up for the CCNA but then took the ICND 1 exam instead? If so, can you give feedback on the exam topics i need to study?

Greetings -
Wanted to know if anyone passed recently. What their experience was? In the switch forum, members post detailed info on what they saw. Hoping that this exam will be as the Switch exam was, with the majority of questions being seen here on H2P. Thanks for any responses, Happy Holidays!

How2pass is the bomb. I was a little worried at first since I didn't see any current posts of success for CCNA full exam. I was concerned that the material here could possibly be outdated, but after taking the exam today and passing with a 924 out of a possible 1000 I guarantee you, such is not the case! How2pass is on point as usual. I plan on using it for my CCNP as well.
Thanks H2P

QID: S35 RIPv2 issue |

The last multiple choice question asks you to examine the R1 routing table and determine how traffic to 10.10.10.0/24 is forwarded.
The correct answer per the simlet is that "Traffic destined to 10.10.10.0/24 ... uses RIPv2 instead of static route [because of the higher admin distance on the static route]"
While its true the static route has a higher admin distance of 200 over RIPv2 (120), HOWEVER the problem is that the network in question is not even known in RIPv2. That why when you look at the routing table, you see that the static route "wins" and has been promoted to the routing table. RIP does not even know about 10.10.10.0 because R2 has failed to advertise it.
From what I can see, all four possible answers given are incorrect. Please advise.

This question is asking about subnet 192.168.10.0 not been able to access the remote network. The output shows it is ospf network configuration. For it to access remote network it is going to need the mac address of the router. This question does not have anything to do with submet 192.168.12.0. I think the ospf process will work in as much it it not using the 192.168.12.0 network according to the question.
The mask on the link is wrong . A /31 will not give two valid host ip to assign to the router interfaces. Changing the mask to a /30 will meet the requirement.

I'm having a little difficulty understanding why the operator option shows up sometimes after the source IP and wildcard mask and other times after the destination IP and wildcard mask. What do I look for in the question to know where to assign the option?

When you get the summary of your test, the results are only broken down into general categories:
Network Fundamentals
LAN Switching Fundamentals
Routing Fundamentals
Infrastructure Services
Infrastructure Maintenance
Anyone have some guidance as to what to concentrate specifically on if you score low in a certain category?

I'm joining this forum after not passing the exam. I have years of actual networking experience and used Wendell Odom's books in preparation to make sure I would be doing it "the Cisco way". I used the Pearson resources and Cisco Learning for additional practice. I still encountered subject matter that was not covered in any of this material. VoIP phone configuration and serial port troubleshooting, for example. I was graded low on the "Networking Fundamentals", which I can't believe. I'm getting tired of shucking out money and then being surprised at the exam.
Will how2pass cover everything I need to know in order to pass the exam, and CCNA thereafter? Or is this just another moneymaking venue?
Is it better to take on the full CCNA instead of the two halves separately?
Does anyone have any experience in getting a refund from these other resources? I at least want to lodge a complaint about what I see as a misleading practice on their part.

Hi Guys,
I am new to the IT field and have been working in healthcare for the last 17 years or so. I was told that this site is very good and does a decent job of having questions very similar to the actual exam.
So far I have gone through CBT Nugget's ICND1 with Jeremy Cioara. I find Jeremy to be ok but he seems to glaze over certain topics while over-emphasizing others. His enthusiasm for the subject is probably why I watched his entire 76 hour video marathon.
I also have some lab equipment and an older version of Packet Tracer. I like the simulations/emulations because I can go through them much faster than actual routers and switches. That and I don't have any serial ports on any of my routers....go figure. I'm not going to buy and install interfaces for outdated devices.
When I hit this site, I noticed that the questions where quite different than the material I studied. Like I said, CBT Nuggets seemed to hit the high points and move on. At first, I was a little frustrated by this.
The material on this site appears to be related to what I studied but some of it is totally foreign. I find myself going back and having to read up on IPV6, for instance. I'm not sure why they don't cover IPV6 more in depth on CBT Nuggets. It almost seems like a separate but related topic. I keep smacking CBT Nuggets around but I just feel they kinda missed this one in my opinion.
...But I am glad I have this site to look at and study before I take the exam.
So I probably have another month or so at this point. If I fail, I can turn around and take it within 24 hrs again...I think. Have any of you taken it a few times in a row?
Anyway, feel free to comment. Cheers.
