Posted by: wicksmith - 05-24-2010, 02:56 PM - Forum: Exam Experience - Replies (2)

score = 936

Wish I studied the How2pass questions more. Every question on the real exam was on the site. Some are literally identical.

  Help! Advice is heavily appreciated

I failed the BSCI exam this Friday with a 758. The questions was pretty straight forward (thanks H2P). The issue I had with the exam was the Sims (5,6,7 on H2P). After making the required configuration modification, I executed the copy running-configuration starting-configuration command. For some weird reason it wouldn't save, I received a "command not implemented" after the copy run start. Where did I go wrong? Am suppose to save my config at the end. Right? Am going to go over the sims everyday until the 27th, I hope I get the same Sim this Thursday. Please H2P family, tell me where I went wrong Sad, any advice would be appreciated. Am so furious about the Sims.

I am studying for the CCNA exam and I have this question. "Refer to the exhibit. The networks connected to router R2 have been summarized as 192.168.176.0/21 route and sent to R1. Which two packets destination addresses will R1 forward to R2? 192.168.194.160, 192.168.183.41, 192.168.159.2, 192.168.183.255, 192.168.179.4, 192.168.184.45" The exhibit is not important since it's not showing anything. It would be really helpful if someone could demonstrate the mechanism of the answer. Thanks in advance.

  ICND2 Today
Posted by: jerseyplayer - 05-20-2010, 12:07 AM - Forum: Exam Experience - No Replies

I passed the ICND2 today.  I can't say enough how helpful the expert explanations of how2pass were.  I read 5 books on the subject and spent a good 40 hours with equipment and simulators just for the exam.  I just started working with VoIP at work.  I am very good at self study and retain information well.  I still would not have passed if accurate and focused explanations were not available.  Most people learn better when faced with a problem and must research a solution.  The questions provide that challenge wile connecting theory through concise explanation.

The test time is a little short in my opinion.  There is a lot of information to process even before you begin to solve the problem.  You can easily burn up time just plain reading every word.  This is where the questions help focus your attention to the core issues.  It takes practice learning what to look for.  Just navigating through the sims takes practice.  It felt weird going from real stuff to the testing interface.  The timer is very intimidating!

I was glad it could be done in two parts with the first being a cert itself.  This was a mental relief for me to only risk half the money while still getting a respectable cert.  I felt I could take my time with the second half having a cert to satisfy requirements to be allowed access to systems.

My study stuff: GNS3 router sim,  Cisco ICND1/ICND2, Sybex CCNA, Sybex Fast Pass, Cisco condensed commands.  GNS3 was a lot of fun to use and encouraged learning.  The ability to quickly assemble a complex topology and tweak its behavior was super valuable.  I found myself on the sim more then the equipment.  The debug output goes a long way towards understanding.

I was getting a little burned out with studying so I am glad to get the chance to apply this new found knowledge.  My family is glad to have me back.  I felt bad missing some stuff to study, but is becoming the norm just to keep a job.  If you don't enjoy this technology and looking for a quick ticket, studying will be a miserable experience so be warned.

How2pass may have just saved my career! I will be moving on to CCNA Voice for VoIP support.

Posted by: Cheater - 05-19-2010, 04:33 PM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

Guys,

I took CCNA 640-802 exam at one of the Pearson Vue authorized testing center. After completing the exam, they gave me printed report card right away.

report card shows I scored 949 and passed HOWEVER, ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE REPORT CARD THERE IS AN IMPORTANT WRITTEN NOTICE THAT STATES :

The score information displayed on this report is preliminary and does not constitute an official report. Your score may be classified as intermediate if it is at or above the passing level and Cisco can not certify that it represents a valid measure of your ability as sampled by the exam. After review and analysis your score will either be classified as "Valid" or as "Intermediate". If classified as intermediate, you will be advised of options for "Retaking exam"

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?? i gotta retake it?? Please help me immediately

Thank You!

Posted by: Cheater - 05-18-2010, 10:42 AM - Forum: General - No Replies

Guys, is this correct the CCNA exam will have Simlets testlets and Simulations ???

Its my first time taking this exam and I thought if Simlets/Testlets are in the exam, then Router/ACL/NAT simulation will not be in the test and vice versa

How are people passing the test in 90 minutes with all simlets/testles plus Simulation in one exam ?? I dont think its enough time to do all this in one test ?????

Please help
