  Passed BSCI 977
Posted by: baloo247 - 05-11-2009, 11:28 AM - Forum: CCNP ENARSI 300-410 Forum - No Replies

Woohoo. BCMSN and BSCI now complete.

Exam had 4 router simulations i think. EIGRP, OSPF, STUBBY AREAS x 2. There was a new one but basically asked you to setup the area so that only summary and connected route is present i.e. a eigrp stub area. All good.

there was some odd multicasting questions which threw me off a bit but all good in the end.

Very little on IPv6.

Basically if you know your stuff you should be sweet.

  Just passed ICND2 (second try)
Posted by: Jane - 05-09-2009, 03:33 AM - Forum: Exam Experience - No Replies

This was my second try this month and finally passed. I am CCNA certified. Both times I took the ICND2 test, I had OSPF. I also had the Identify Vlan and STP configuration on both tests. Make sure you go through those simulations really well. They will come up. I found the ICND2 test to be a lot harder than the ICND1. SUCCESS IS A GREAT FEELING!!! I WOULD NEVER BE CERTIFIED IF I DIDNT USE HOW2PASS!

  QID:NA282
Posted by: to_old_4_this - 04-22-2009, 12:12 AM - Forum: Answer this question - Replies (3)

A host with the address of 192.168.125.34/27 needs to be denied access to all hosts outside its own subnet. To accomplish this, complete the command in brackets, [access-list 100 deny protocol address mackany], by draggin the appropriate options on the left to their correct placeholders on the right

Now what How2Pass states is correct is the following:
Protocol      IP
address      192.168.125.34  ---- here is where I have a problem  I placed 192.168.125.32
mask          0.0.0.0

Now the question clearly states "needs to be denied access to all hosts outside its own subnet" -- the subnet for this host is 192.168.125.32 through 192.168.125.48.

This lead me to the conclusion that address of the access-list had to be its entire network. How am I misinterpreting this question?

(By the way I have run across a couple of these and decided what the heck let me grab the competitions stuff and give it a whirl, dare I say, pass4sure. Believe me, the grammar is awful. You practically need an interpreter to follow their questions... I think it is awful... but, if I fail the exam I get my money back... personally, I would say for those that have posted about them on this site, to the rest save your money) which I don't want to fail the exam, so... I will be posting questions in this last two weeks before I take the 802 exam) :o

I completely missed the first lab on IPV6 virtual links. I was ready but in my nervous haste, I clicked the Next button thinking it would bring me to the screen with the command line. Sadly, it moved me to the next question. I tried to get the proctor to reset but she had to call Cisco. She was on the phone for 20 minutes. All they would do was give me my lost time back. Anyway, How2Pass was right on for most of the questions. There were a few oddball questions on multicasting and ISIS. My only advise....try to relax and go slow with the labs. Good luck to all of you!

  Passed ICND2 - now I have CCNA!
Posted by: toko - 04-10-2009, 10:04 PM - Forum: Exam Experience - Replies (2)

Smile ;D

Thank you how2pass.  I normally don't write these messages but I'm very happy. I used how2pass to practice for both ICND1 and ICDND2 exams where I got 950 and 930 respectively.

Definitely for me ICND2 was more stressful as I'm more familiar with subnetting than routing but it turned out ok.  I finished with 8 minutes to spare but I was super stressed halfway through as I got a bunch of difficult questions right at the start.  The last 10 were a breeze.

The practice simulations were helpful.  I ended up getting an OSPF sim in the exam and it was not exactly the same as in the practice sims here but I knew enough to figure it out obviously from studying here.

Thanks BATMAN!  8)
