NA521 - Switch Command - Show Arp v. Show mac-adddress-table |

Could someone please confirm this: Which command will show the MAC addresses of stations connected to "switch" ports?
How2Pass Answer: show arp
Is How2Pass incorrect? Thank you.
When I go to Cisco site, I find ARP is mapping IP addresses to MAC addresses in Layer 3 devices. The show mac-address-table command maps MAC addresses to ports on the switch.

If the router RT1 has a packet with a destination address 192.168.1.255, which statement below describes the operation of the network?
A ? RT1 forwards the frame containing this packet, SW1 will add 192.168.1.255 to its MAC table
B ? RT1 will drop this packet because it is not a valid IP address
C ? RT1 will forward the packet out all interfaces
D ? RT1 will encapsulate the packet in a frame with a destination MAC address of FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF
E ? As RT1 forwards the frame containing this packet, SW1 will forward it ti the device assigned the IP address of 192.168.1.255
h2pass Answer: B
well, 192.168.1.255 might be not a valid HOST ip address, but it is still a valid broadcast IP address for the 192.168.1.0/24 network.
If directed broadcasts were enabled with ip directed-broadcast interface subcommand or the router has the IOS prior to 12.x, where directed broadcast was enabled by default, the router will encapsulate the packet in a frame with a destination MAC address of FF-FF-FF-FF-FF-FF.
I do not know which IOS version this question refers to, but it might be a very old question.
But anyway "not a valid IP address" is a wrong statement.
What do you think?

whats up peeps.
after weeks of studying today I passed the route exam. I was so nervous I dont even remember much but the labs I got were PBR, Redistribution IPV6 virtual link, stub, and ipv4 virtual link. The only problem I had was after I got done with the labs when I went ahead and tried pinging to test my configuration it wouldn't or to test the route map hits stayed 0.
any ways I got 941 /1000.
Peace out and keep on networking.
NOTE: I recreated all 6 labs in GNS 3 with no prob.

I passed ICND2 last week with a 944 with over 15 minutes to spare. Thanks H2P. The Sims were great, and I was able to breeze through test without even breaking a sweat.

Passed today!!!! Got 960. Needed 825 to pass. That was a lot of material to cover and I wouldn't have done it without how2pass. Thanks How2Pass. Personally, this was a lot of work and it was not an easy test. If I have any advice, it is to study your ass off. I sure did. I got the EIGRP S16 lab, the ACL S17 & S29 lab and the S14 VLAN STP lab. Don't overlook the WLAN questions because I had a few from them. A lot of the questions from this site r on the test but some of the multiple choice answer options are different. Nevertheless, this site should prepare you enough to pass them.
To prepare, I did the Boson NetSims and read the Steve McQuerry ICND1 and ICND2 books. And of course, this site. Best luck to all of you.

Doubts about correct answers in question N226 (VLAN id tagging) |

Hello,
I'm learning for CCNA re-certification (ICND2 640-816).
I'm not really happy with answers for N226:
You are configuring a catalyst switch with VLAN information that
must be automatically distributed to other catalyst switches in the network. What
conditions must be met in order for the VLANs to be configured on the other switches?
(Choose three)
A. The switches must be configured to use the same VTP version.
B. The switches must be configured to use the same type of ID tagging.
C. The switches must be configured to use the same STP version.
D. The switch that will share the VLAN information must be configured as the root bridge.
E. The switch that will share the VLAN information must be in the VTP Server mode.
F. The switches must be in the same VTP domain.
Correct Answer:
The switch that will share the VLAN information must be in the VTP Server mode.
The switches must be in the same VTP domain.
The switches must be configured to use the same VTP version.
IMHO Answer B should/must also be correct ?!?
Any ideas ? What do you think ?
